Audio profiles suggestion

Hi all.
My suggestion wouldn't be very useful for broadband users but i think it would be very useful for dial up users. In my oppinion it would be nice if we could know how long an audio profile is before clicking on it so we wouldn't have to wait very long for a profile to load.
So it would be good if in the list of users with audio profiles after the date that somebody uploaded a profile if we could know if a profile is 20 seconds, 2 minutes etc so if users didn't want to wait when they are using dial up they wouldn't click on the long profiles.
Also another suggestion is if we could get a private message when we get a review for our profile?

I like the first idea a lot! the second however isn't all that appealing to me, but good idea nonetheless!

I like them both actually. I also was thinking maybe we could have to different profiles. A Broadband version, and a dial-up version. The dial-up version could be sampled down and it's bitrate lowered thus taking less time to load. I wonder if therre are any automated tools to do this?

i agree, there have been times i want to listen to profiles, but can't since i'm on dialup myself

I agree with KC. It would be great to have a profile that's sampled down for dial-up users...which may make the first idea irrelevant, and the sending a private quicknote for whenever you get a review is also a good idea...since we've got one for when you receive aprivate email on your zone account too...

Well, my suggestion is a longer time for standard members. They could be allowed two minutes to record an autio profile, just so it's all fair and square with everybody. Example, because I'm only a standard member and my debbit card and my bank don't like paypal very much for some reason, I only have time to say something like "hi, I'm Bellatrix Lestrange on The Zone and I'm 22 years old. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. Everything you'd like to know about me you can find in my text profile. That's my 20 seconds up.

I think that the 2 ideas are great.
I'm not convinsed about the whole 2 profile thingies, i mean if the servers going to have to store 2 copies of everyones profiles granted, the dialup ones going to be smaller, isn't it going to be a bit of a drain on the servers hdd space?
